Thematic School CNRS
National training course in quantitative proteomics using mass spectrometry
18 to 22 May 2026 in Sète
Proteomics is now at the heart of technological and methodological challenges in biology. This discipline, dedicated to the characterisation and quantification of proteins, enables the exploration of molecular mechanisms, the identification of biomarkers and the addressing of major issues in health and fundamental research.
In this context, a national training course certified by the CNRS 2026 Thematic School will be organised from 18 to 22 May in Sète. This school will provide a state-of-the-art overview of the different stages of quantitative proteomic analysis by mass spectrometry, with a particular focus on the processing of data from high-performance instruments and their statistical analysis.
The aim is to enable participants to acquire the skills necessary to:
- Choose the appropriate method for analysing complex protein samples,
- Independently perform large-scale quantitative analysis,
- Produce robust results validated by bioinformatic and statistical analysis.
Around fifty participants are expected, supervised by fifteen speakers and organisers, including three members of Proteotoul:
Carine Froment (IR CNRS, organiser and speaker),
Marie Locard-Paulet (IR CNRS, speaker),
Alexandre Stella (IE CNRS, speaker).
This training course is aimed at engineers, researchers, post-doctoral students, doctoral students and technology platform stakeholders who wish to deepen or update their skills in quantitative proteomics.
