The CNRGV, GeT (Genome and Transcriptome) and the Bioinformatics platforms are associated with a recent publication, which identified the genetic variations responsible for the different coloration patterns of harlequin ladybugs. Researchers from INRA and CNRS have identified the gene that alone has all the necessary instructions to draw the various motifs that decorate the wings of these insects.
